As the busy season comes to a close and we near Christmas, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for everyone who supported my growth this year.
Each one of you have helped me become the photographer than I am today. I look back at sessions from last year and can physically see that I am improving and I hope to see the same growth next year, and the year after, and the year after, etc, etc!
This Christmas I really wanted to give back, to make a difference in someones life. I am so glad that Christy Lucas from Roots for Boots has come into my life! She presented me with the opportunity to use this little business of mine to DO GOOD for my fellow man.
I am totally going to steal Christy’s saying for this next part: ***HUGE GRATITUDE GRENADE TO ALL OF YOU BECAUSE WE WERE ABLE TO RAISE OVER $500 FOR CPL ADAM LANIER!*** We were able to crush my goal and Adam was sooooo sincere when he received the check.
I can’t wait to see what else Christy and I can do together! I am hoping to raise much more money for her awesome non-profit!
During this slower season for us photographers, we usually try to hang out and soak up this time with out families. BUT we are also work-a-holics because perfecting our art is like a drug…we have to keep getting better!
I am taking a few courses on editing and workflow that I am already started on and can’t wait to put these new techniques into action!
We also like to take on, what I like to call, PASSION PROJECTS! I will be collaborating with several local businesses to put on a stylized wedding shoot next Saturday. I don’t want to give away too many clues but think…glitz, glamour, Gatsby!
Lastly, I will also be rolling out a new “sub-section” to my business. It is an area which I would love to focus on more and offer specialized packages for. I will be asking for engagement and “volunteers” to help me roll this out so keep an eye on my Facebook Page and journal for more details.
I’m going to leave here with a few photos here of the last of my Christmas Mini Sessions! It’s so cold…who is ready for warm weather already?!
