Let me start out by saying…
I have never laughed so hard while photographing a wedding.
While completely unorthodox, it did not take away from the meaning of the day. This wedding was so unique, that neither I, nor any of their guests, will never forget.
This “something blue” wedding was soooo Steve and Chrissy. They somehow threw this whole shin-dig together in a few weeks time and DIY’ed EVERYTHING!
Alicia, their daughter, was absolutely adorable and I think everyone’s eyes were a little misty as Chrissy gifted her a necklace during the ceremony. Alicia is so blessed to have Chrissy who loves and adores her more than anything.
Steve and Chrissy definitely complement each other and they just may have figured out the key to happy and healthy relationship…
They make each other laugh.
And not just that little…hehe kinda laugh. Like, dude…they BELLY LAUGH with each other. Not only are they lovers, but best friends. And you can see that whenever they are near one another. It’s adorable.
Things didn’t exactly go as planned. Taco meat may have been left in someone’s car, the DJ (random guest? lol) couldn’t decide which exit music to play, Steve couldn’t tie his double windsor, they may have danced their first dance accidentally to “Time of my life” by the Black Eyed Peas …but they didn’t let anything phase them and carried on in their true optimistic fashion and improvised like only these 2 can!
Everyone danced, played, sang and had a good time and indulged in some delicious beverages. And I am so glad that I could capture these moments for them.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bisset! I hope you continue to laugh together for the rest of your lives.
