I have known Ali for a super, long time. I can’t remember if we met as caregivers at the nursing home or in nursing school. But that really doesn’t matter…we met before the husbands, before the houses, before the children, before the chaos of this thing called life! I am so lucky to have people in my life, like Ali, who have stayed by my side and supported my business through the years!
I, not only get to see her and her family periodically, but have gotten to watch them grow and meet the new ones as they come! It’s pretty cool to stay connected with people who you normally wouldn’t get to see because of…well…life. Life pulls us in so many directions that it’s hard to keep up with everyone on a regular basis, so it’s so cool to be able to have my friends drop in every once in a while and catch up.
I am still trying to figure out how this momma does it?! Works full time as an ER nurse, mommin’ it up at home and full-time student, studying to be a Nurse Practitioner. She deserves some kind of award.
It’s easy to see the love that mom and dad share and how it trickles down to all the little ones! The little one cracked me up…so full of energy and if I got a shot of her being still, I WAS ELATED!
But, life is all about those in between moments. The real stuff happens when were not posing, when were not preparing, when we aren’t trying to impress anyone. This is why I love lifestyle photography. That toddler might not sit still for a posed photo..because she wants to hug mommy, she wants to pet that cat, she wants to play with daddy and wrestle with her siblings! And these are the moments I will forever try to capture. Those real life, in-between moments that mean the most!
Thank you, Smith Family.
Love,
Jessica Posey
